Client: Bhutan Travel Bureau
Branding program incorporating logo device, stationary, client brochure, festival brochures, print advertisement, website and general marketing strategy.

Following a visit to the kingdom of Bhutan in early 2005, I received a request to develop a marketing strategy for BTB, incorporating Bhutan's premiere travel agency Bhutan Travel Bureau, and its subsidary companies Bhutan Construction and Bhutan Trading. Primarily they were concerned with the absence of any consistent identity across its group of companies, as well as a general uncertainty as to how to market their travel agency online.

Over the course of the last 18 months, a comprehensive branding and marketing project has been implemented including:

  • A logo device used for all BTB companies;
  • Business cards and stationary;
  • Website design & development including art direction, layout and design, photography, copy writing, engineering and integration;
  • Development of style guides for all print related items;
  • Design of a 12 page company brochure including copy writing, illustrations and photographs targetting potential clients, both travellers and corporate;
  • Design of various festival brochures to promote these popular tourist items to affiliated tourist agencies abroad;
  • Design of print advertisements.

The of this branding program has contributed to considerable growth for BTB's travel agency business, particularly through its online presence. It has also provided them with a highly recognised, universal identity for use across its broad business interests.
