About Me

I am a graphic designer, website designer and developer, brand specialist, creative consultant, marketing strategist and project manager with over 25 years’ experience. I am passionate about delivering meaningful design for brands and the people who matter to them.

Working across a variety of industries in both full time and in freelance positions, over the course of my career I have developed a proven knowledge of all roles and responsibilities relating to graphic design and art direction across the entire spectrum of both print and digital platforms. This includes idea generation, layout, copywriting, illustration, photography and photo editing, proofing, pre-press and print procurement.

I also work with every aspect of website design and development. From creating functional user interfaces and user experiences that engage, are intuitive and encourage interaction, to developing content and all front-end requirements using clean and efficient code that can deliver the website across multiple devices.

My current position is Graphic Designer and Production Manager for luxury travel company Abercrombie & Kent. In this role I am responsible for all print design including brochures, magazines, print advertisements, direct mail, exhibitions and events, website design, and for developing and implementing a market orientated brand strategy that focusses on long term brand building and short term sales activations. I also head up a high performing team of copywriters, product managers and executives across all communication and creative design projects, and the delivery of campaigns and production across all media platforms and channels.

Blending my unique skill set with extensive expertise in brand development, creative strategy, digital marketing, social media management, search engine optimisation, and video production enables me to deliver a wide range of projects from the conceptual stage through to production and distribution with an emphasis on creativity, clarity, efficiency, user experience, accessibility and user engagement.

I am always looking for ways to improve the way things look, how they work, and how well they speak to people. Asking questions and approaching projects with curiosity, helps me to use problem solving and experience to achieve good design that delivers meaningful results. Design is never finished. It is always evolving.

I have a strong interest in wildlife photography, and am passionate about conservation.

Print Design

Your visual identity speaks volumes to your customers. Every aspect of your communication – from the colours you choose to the font or graphics – tells your customers your story. With print design I know the importance of getting it right first time and deliver pixel perfect artwork for production. I combine my eye for design with my knowledge of the print process to make the finished job meet all expectations, and feel as good as it looks. My goal is to not only make ideas visible, but to intensify meaning, experience and understanding through effective visual communication. To me this is common sense.
